What if your family was built on a faulty foundation? When would you want to know about that? Sooner rather than later, right!?!?
Family is futile unless God is present. Life without God is senseless:
Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds a house,
the work of the builders is wasted.
Unless the Lord protects a city,
guarding it with sentries will do no good.
A family without God can never experience the spiritual bond God brings to relationships. A city without God will crumble from evil and corruption on the inside. In our family, I can sense when we’ve moved the focus off of God as the foundation. The selfishness begins to stink, revenge runs rampant, and opportunities for patience pass by. To overcome this, we must continually remember the blessings of the day, talk about them, and acknowledge that it’s the Lord who does the heavy lifting.
Let God be the highest priority and let him do the building. All of life’s work, building a home, establishing a career, and raising a family, must have God as the foundation.
